Meet gus

Who is Gus?

  • Breed: Dalmatian
  • Age: 4 years
  • Weight: 60 pounds
  • Color: White and black
  • High shedding coat
  • NOT Dog friendly
  • Great with kids and cats

Gus is a social, affectionate, and charming boy who loves being part of the action. He adores people of all ages and is always ready for an adventure—whether it’s hiking, exploring, or simply spending time outdoors.

Gus is not dog‑friendly and prefers to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention and love.

Now that he’s past the puppy stage, Gus has an easygoing, adventure‑ready personality. He travels well, enjoys exploring new places, and loves showing off his favorite tricks—like rolling over or offering a paw for extra affection.

His grooming needs are low, and although he sheds moderately, regular brushing is all he needs to keep his coat looking great.

Medical + History

Gus comes from an ethical breeder, with parents who are OFA‑certified and fully genetically tested, giving him a strong, health‑focused foundation. Adopters will receive continued support from both his trainer and his breeder to ensure guidance and long‑term success.

Gus will go home fully prepared, including a Florida Health Certificate, age‑appropriate vaccinations, and he will be neutered prior to adoption.

Training & Ongoing Support

Gus is fully on‑leash trained and performs reliably in both high‑energy environments and quiet, low‑distraction settings. His training foundation allows her to remain focused and responsive in a variety of real‑world situations.

Gus's adoption includes lifetime training support through East Coast K9 LLC, including group classes. All equipment and owner training will be completed prior to Benny going home, with follow‑up placement sessions provided after adoption to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

Education Programs

We believe that education is key to protecting wildlife and their habitats. At Florida Good Dogs, we offer a variety of educational programs for schools, community groups, and individuals. Learn more about our programs and how you can get involved.

His Perfect Home

Gus’s perfect home would be with an active family or an individual who loves hiking, going on adventures, and spending time outdoors. He’s just as happy curling up for a cozy night of TV as he is exploring a new trail. Gus needs a home with no other dogs, where he can enjoy being the center of attention and receive all the love he deserves.
